Testing Services
Recommended for students who have previous knowledge of the language he/she wishes to study at CVA. Students who have dropped their studies at CVA for a period equivalent to 3 (three) or more months, will be required to take it before registering in any CVA course.
Monday - Friday: 7 a.m.- 7 p.m.
Saturdays: 8 a.m.- 7 p.m.
Adults (over 16): Bs. 1.000,oo (one thousand bolivares) / Bs. F. 1,00 (One bolivar fuerte)
Kids / Teens (under 16): Free
Adults: Show your ID card or passport in when registering
Kids / Teens: Show ID card or birth certificate when registering
Children under 11 must come with their parent or legal guardian in order to register.
Placement test results are valid for three months after taking the test.
Centro Venezolano Americano issues English Language sufficiency certificates to individuals via the ALIGU test. ALIGU stands for American Language Institute-Georgetown University. It is an English language sufficiency standardized test accepted by major corporations and academic institutions in Venezuela and abroad.
Testing Hours: Wednesdays 12:30 p.m.
Requisites: ID card (cedula de identidad)
Result: Test results will be given at CVA on Fridays.
Registration Fee: Bs. 45.000,00 (Bs. F. 45,00)
Centro Venezolano Americano issues English Language sufficiency certificates to groups of people (corporations or institutions) via the ALIGU CORPORATE TEST-ACT.
ACT can be adjusted to minimum skills standards set by the requesting corporation or institution in order to comply with its training or recruiting needs. ALIGU stands for American Language Institute-Georgetown University. It is an English language sufficiency standardized test accepted by major corporations and academic institutions in Venezuela and abroad.
ALIGU CORPORATE TEST-ACT is available both in and off site, according to the needs of the corporate body requesting this service.

The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Test is a comprehensive assessment of communicative competence that integrates all three English language skills: Reading, Listening and Writing. TOEFL is a standard requirement for every foreign student wishing to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies in the U.S. Some universities may also require the students to take the TSE (Test of Spoken English) in order to assess the participant English language oral skills: comprehension and production.

El SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) measures the individual's ability to solve mathematics problems, to use language, and to comprehend what he/she reads.The test is administered on two levels
Lower (for students currently in grades 5-7)
Upper (for students currently in grades 8-11)
